According to Manningham Eyewatch, police are investigating a hit-run collision that occurred the morning of November 5, where a black Holden Commodore sedan allegedly collided with a white Audi Q3 wagon on the Eastern Freeway.
The incident occurred just after the Tram Road exit at around 6:45am.
The driver of the Audi was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police were told the male driver of the Holden Commodore dumped his vehicle and fled on foot, whilst carrying a bottle of alcohol. He has been described as a Caucasian male, heavy build with short brown hair and was last seen wearing dark clothing, with a light coloured shirt underneath.
The investigation remains ongoing and police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
