Collision involving a stolen vehicle and two motorcycles in Doncaster

According to Manningham Eyewatch, on Saturday February 1, a collision occurred at about 4pm near the intersection of Council Street and Roseville Avenue in Doncaster, involving a stolen vehicle and two motorcycles.

According to Police, a stolen grey Renault Megane allegedly mounted a roundabout, deliberately ramming into a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist that was struck and knocked off his bike was not injured and has been identified as a 26-year-old Ringwood man.

Following this, the offender continued his pursuit in the stolen Renault with the motorcycle wedged beneath the vehicle.

The Renault then struck another motorcyclist, consequently knocking the victim off his bike and onto the road.

The rider was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has been identified as a 22-year-old man from Ringwood.

The stolen vehicle fled and was found dumped in a reserve on JJ Tully Drive, Doncaster.

Police received reports that the offender was male, with a medium build, around 180cm tall and Caucasian in appearance. He was believed to be wearing blue jeans and a white or grey shirt.

Police are appealing for nearby residents of the area to check their CCTV footage and for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
