Table of Contents

Nearly three weeks after voting concluded, the full results for the Manningham Council election were finally posted on the Victorian Electoral Commission website on Tuesday, November 12.

The successful candidates were officially declared yesterday at a brief ceremony at the Manningham Civic Centre by Victorian Electoral Commission staff. This was followed by a swearing-in ceremony conducted by Manningham Council CEO, Andrew Day.

Two previous councillors, Michelle Kleinert and Tomas Lightbody, who sought re-election for the 2024 - 2028 term, were not re-elected. Additionally, Stephen Mayne chose not to run for another term, and former councillor Dot Haynes, who stood for election in Schramm Ward, was unsuccessful in making a comeback.

The new faces joining the council include Jim Grivas, a former councillor, who won in Ruffey Ward, Peter Bain in Manna Ward, and Isabella Eltaha in Westerfolds Ward.

The newly elected Manningham councillors for the 2024 - 2028 term are as follows:

Bolin Ward - Cr Geoff Gough

Currawong Ward - Cr Andrew Conlon

Manna Ward - Cr Peter Bain

Ruffey Ward - Cr Jim Grivas

Schramm Ward - Cr Laura Mayne

Tullamore Ward - Cr Deirdre Diamante

Waldau Ward - Cr Anna Chen

Westerfolds Ward - Cr Isabella Eltaha

The newly elected councillors will meet next Tuesday, November 19, to elect a new Mayor from among their ranks.
