On July 26, Police were on patrol at Westfield Doncaster in order to protect, maintain and ensure a family friendly atmosphere for all.
Collectively, Doncaster Police, Manningham Crime Investigation Unit, The Proactive Policing Unit, The Divisional Intelligent Unit, Transit East 1 and Nunawading Highway Patrol, all targeted the illegal carrying of weapons at Westfield.
Overall, 108 searches were conducted, resulting in the detection of five weapon offences.
That same weekend, the focus was shifted to high-harm, high-impact and drug related offenders around Doncaster. This operation was led by Doncaster Police, with assistance from Manningham Crime Investigation Unit and Nunawading Highway Patrol.
Following this investigation, Police arrested five burglars, four shoplifters and detected 21 traffic offences.
