The Macedon Square Post Office has closed as of 5 PM on Wednesday, 29 January, catching many in the community by surprise. With no prior notice, customers were left confused outside the premises over the past two days.
Many, including elderly residents on mobility scooters who regularly pay their bills at the post office, only learned about the closure from signs posted on the window. From 9 AM on Thursday, 30 January, all parcels and PO Box mail will be available for collection at the Bulleen Plaza Post Office.
Concerned by the wording of the closure notice, I checked with local traders—there is no health-related issue, and Rubin and his team are well. Manningham Life will follow up with the post office license holder to understand the reasons behind this sudden decision. We’ll keep you updated.
