NATIONAL TREE DAY - PLANTING 
Help plant native trees and vegetation to help protect the park's natural environment. Tools, equipment and plants are provided. Just bring water and snacks, if needed!

PRIMARY SCHOOL SPEECH COMPETITION 
This competition is run by the Rotary Club of Manningham City for students in the local primary schools. The schools participating are Donburn PS, St Gregory the Great PS, Birralee PS, Doncaster PS and Beverley Hills PS.

YOUNG ADULT LIT FEST ZINE DEADLINE
If you are between the ages of 12 and 25 and interested in getting your work published, you can enter in the Whitehorse Manningham Libraries Young Adult Zine competition. Submissions must be under 300 words and can be fiction, non- fiction, memoir, poetry, art, fanfiction, fan art or young adult book reviews.

LIQUIDS IN DISGUISE EXHIBITION
Local artists Tim and Rob have worked together with steel and stained sculptures to create sculptures which will be exhibited at NaNy gallery in Warrandyte. The cafe will celebrate the exhibition's opening on the 11 August from 5 - 7 pm.

HFS FRUIT TREE AND BUDWOOD SALE AT PETTY’S ORCHARD
The Heritage Fruits Society invites you to its annual open day at Petty’s Orchard. You can purchase ready-to-plant apple or other fruit trees, or budwood for many of our hundreds of fruit varieties. We also give tree grafting demonstrations as well as a guided tour of our unique and fascinating heritage fruit tree collection.

HOME HARVEST - THRIFTY GARDENING AND TOMATO SEEDING
Maria Ciavarella from My Green Garden will share tips on how to reuse everyday items and recycle organic waste. Attendees will participate in a tomato seeding activity with heritage seeds from the Bulleen Art and Garden range.

KOSE KARU KIN 
This exhibition is a project led by Manningham resident, Grace Dlabik, who connects Indigenous women and non binary folk through clay making. Kose Karu Kin, used traditional practices with raw clay to share experiences within the community.
